The illustration below shows the BCD 6.0KW's fuel system. The BCD 4.4KW fuel system's differs in that it

has one less fuel injector and injector pump plunger. The fuel injection pump, located

the right, is one of

the most important components

the diesel engine and, therefore, calls

for

the utmost caution in handling.

Furthermore, the fuel injection pump has been thoroughly bench-tested and should not be tampered with.

Speed (Hertz) and timing adjustment are the only adjustments the servicing dealer can perform on the in-

jection pump. Other types

adjustments

repairs must be performed

a qualified injection service shop.

Fuel Injection System

To obtain long and satisfactory service from the injection pump, always use fuel which is free from impurities

and maintain a

good

filtration and water separation system between the fuel tank and engine. Service this
